INTENSE FUTSAL TRAINING

for the last match for the school semseter in futsal, we will play vineyard. and it seems they have been practicing hard for this. We haven't been playing matches and see where we stand. This match is the biggest showdown of the year. Because of our maybe-lack-of-preparation we are going to have intense training. 2 hrs of futsal training on wednesday and break time futsal talks everyday by me. I will be picking only certain people for this training. The seleceted ones will play on sunday. if you do not show that you are interested even the enthusiastic juniors will play. YOU SELECTED ONES ARE PRIVILEDGED TO PLAY FOR THIS MATCH. IT IS A VERY IMPORTANT MATCH. (something like the finals of champions league haha..) IF YOU DO NOT PROVE YOURSELF YOU MAY NOT HAVE THIS CHANCE AGAIN. so okay i have said wad i wanna say. now the selected ones are.................

1. Matthias Lu (captain)

2. Brien Chia (co-captain)

3. Gabriel Chan

4. Adriel Chan

5. Timmy Cheng

6. Makarios Wong

7. Ang Thong Hiong

8. Jason Chia

9. Mark Yu

10. Matthew Lu

so congratulations to the 10 of you. you have proven yourself well. see you in intense training

Updates...

Nowadays it's really hard to look for something new in CLDR...guess we are usedto the same old same old...However ,you may find a few surprises in the things below...haha..don't you know that little details make the picture?

1) Ah yes...I forgot to mention we have a new teacher in Agathos...she comes trice a week, plays the clarinet, is Dutch, has real blonde hair...Teacher Arachne! At least, i think that is the spelling...teachers, if you read this, pardon me...

2) Practices for Awards Night are going on well...Estimated completion for items based on my observation(-+ 15%):

Drama: 26% : yet to see a full rehearsal, script remembrance and general knowledge of the drama in the school is spotty...Director Dixon is going away soon.

Junior Dance under Ivy: 75% : so far everyone is quite enthusiastic. Steps have almost been mastered, with a certain cuteness. Discipline problems with Josiah, Danny, and Zhao Yu have been solved. Accompanying singers Jaedon and Nicole have memorized the words. Still needs a lot of fine tuning.

Senior Dance under Jowee: 73%: rehearsals on stage with music have started, albeit with coordination problems. Dance is visibly a real cathcy dance. Like junior dance, just needs finetuning.

Jowee and Ivy dance: 25% :seen once during talent search. No more since then, excpet for a short period in Dunamis. presumably easy to perfect, especially by to able dancers.

Worship: 30%: Songs not finalized, needs a lot of coordination work. But it should be done in time.

Finale: 66%: has the look of a great performance now. Flag routine a bit empty at times. But fittingly a grand event. music so far is good, but needs to be more refined.

Video and multimedia: 69%: lots of material still locked in my malfunctioning hardrive. Green team's video is not playable on computer. Still trying to resolve music and coordination issues.

MCs: 0%: no progress observed so far.

Decor: 45%: materials seem to be sufficient, all letters have ben cut. first layer of disco ball has been set and is awiating completion...

3) Futsal match this Sunday. Details to be released later. Team Meeting upstairs tomorrow (Wednesday). Practice at 1430 at THE CAGE in Carrefour.

4)Wowness...top scorers Jowee from Dunamis with 15 LPTs, Caryn with 13 LPTs from Sunergeo...eerr...I forgot my data for Agathos...will check...

That's all folks...nothing new nowadays...I would like to thank the school for finally ensuring we get a sufficient supply of cleaning materials and bathroom necessities. Really appreciated. Don't worry, I am not sarcastic. To improve your lot further, it would be great to fix the drawer with dangerously exposed nails upstairs, as well as add more useful programs to the school computers. Ah, why do we have so many dances this Awards Night? Is it because of emotional situations? do they convey trends? or do they convey truth? come and find out on Awards Night!

Ok...chiao!

Hmmmm...

Some of you may be wondering on the lack of updates to this site for the past few weeks...kinda weird reading the same commentary by Matthias on how we beat Vineyard...Fun at first, with a touch of nostagia, but now...perhaps a tad egoistic...proud...or just damn annoying. Ok, now for some updates. We need more writers on this blog.

1) Victor came down for a visit and we played a farewell futsal match in his honor. Well, not the futsal team, just the Dunamisans and a couple of Sunergeoians kicking a ball around...

2) Eugene came to collect his stuff...

3) Practices for Awards Night are going on fine...progress made in all areas except drama so far...no visible practices for that yet...and Maka has left, so no more worship team practice until week after next.

4) We have a new student, Jian Feng...He is 11, has a pefect BBC British accent, and is a little slow in the head...but we all like him a lot...he's in Sunergeo.

5) 7th week coming up...the LPT numbers are still on the low side...maybe it's because we have already done so much work during the early part of the year that we are exhausted now...in the words of Matt: "Pathetic, but with good reason"...

6) Blue Group won the McD project. Currently the top group is Yellow.

Ok, that's all...chiao!
